Home Business Ethics - Genuine marketers don't scam!
Its so important to keep your ethics in the right place when doing a home business. Recent event's in my life have alerted me to the fact that not only are their internet and MLM scammers out there but that there are also a brigade of angry people LOOKING to bring anyone down and call them a scammer without any real proof.
Sure I get that some people have been truly hurt by bad internet people and that sometimes people are so scarred by life's events that they jump to the wrong conclusion too quickly and accuse of someone being a scam. In truth it's not their fault it's the way life has treated them that creates this frenzied fear.
But this post today is really about the accusations without fact that I think are equally damaging to us genuine folk who do not hide behind fake emails or hidden blogs. It always amazes me how someone can attack others but hiding behind fake ID's.
How can anyone believe the hidden attacker?
But the truth is some mud sticks and I think this is unfair. I was recently engaged in making a comment in defence of Daegan Smith whom I have worked with and have enjoyed his value. And on this particular site EVERYONE who as 'sticking the boot in' was anonymous??!!
Come on Guys!!!!!!!
This is crazy. False names, nicknames and angry comments made up this successful group.(I joke of course about the successful bit).
I put my real name, made my comments, had a link to my site and then when challenged by an angry 'hidden' commenter I put my home address, home phone number and all details for anyone to call me if they were upset by anything.
No hiding! No fake name!
I have another case going on now but that's a long story for another day.
But here's the point. Yes there are scammers and yes they are bad. BUT some of us are good folks doing a good business. We are open and can be reached and do not hide and will, if proven to be making an error somewhere - correct it as needed.
We are human not Bots.
I chose to work with Daegan Smith, Ed Dale, Jen Sheahan and soon to be James Schramko, James Dyson & Kenny Goodman to name but a few because they have good ethics and integrity which I value greatly.
You cannot blame a 'guru' for your own lack of abilities or your own lack of hard work and persistence. Take your time to investigate people and then commit to working hard and being persistent.
I wonder how many people will end up slagging off genuine marketers when they have taken responsibility for their own success.
