Deagan Smith, 2 Emails a Day & Bob Monkhouse?

Now if you are in the home business arena you will probably have heard of Daegan Smith and his 2 emails a day strategy. Well he is a very successful internet network marketer in the USA. I started to get to know him a while back now and have a real respect for him. But let's get back to subject.

Going back to 2010 Deagan suggested I email my list twice a day.

"Twice" I said? -  "Yes" he replied.

I say "hhhmmmmmmmmmm, Not sure Daegy baby. This could be trouble".

But seeing as he has the minerals (uk expression made famous in the Brit flick "Snatch" - meaning he is not scared to take action), I thought I would give it a whirl.

So I set off to email my little UK list at the time an email in the morning and an email in the afternoon. I had already built up some relationship with them so was a little wary of such a strategy but I did it anyway.

And a funny thing happened.

The more I emailed the more I got abused BUT the more I sold! Crazy!

OK Jay, that's fine but what has Bob Monkhouse got to do with it and who the heck is he?

Hold up sunshine and I will tell ya.

Bob Monkhouse is a famous UK comedian who died some years ago now. He was also the 'game show host' king in the UK for many many years. In the mid 70's he was at the height of his fame on TV and the comedy circuit.

Now he happened to top the 2 polls in the UK at that time.

He was the most popular celebrity in the UK whilst at the same time being the most hated man in Britain??!!

How is this even possible and what has it got to do with 2 emails a day?

Simples!

The 2 emails a day got me more un-subscribes than I had ever had before whilst at the same time getting me more sales than I had ever made before.

To push yourself out there, to be yourself, to email more will force people to make a choice to either love you or hate you.

And when this happens you get a following or a tribe if you will. Bob Monkhouse was everywhere you looked during the 70's and so people were forced to choose - Love or Hate?

This gave Bob an incredible career spanning 50 years before his untimely death due to cancer. So to me as I look at Deagans 2 emails a day suggestion and what actually happened to my business and awareness from carrying out this trial I know for sure that to 'make it' in this world we have to be prepared to do what most would be too scared to do.

Now I can't say I still email twice a day but I do email virtually every day and I share whatever is true for me to share.

And when I see a lot of un-subscribes from an email I sent I know that I just created a lot of love for me too!
